Atmosphere
The envelope of gases surrounding the earth. This is where weather occurs.
Weather
The state of the atmosphere, describing if it is hot or cold, wet or dry, calm or stormy, clear or cloudy. Weather can change quickly, day to day or even hour by hour.

Climate
Long-term average of weather. Average temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind, and precipitation over a long period of time.

A map or chart showing the condition of the weather in a certain area at a given time.

Causes air to sink which results in clear, sunny skies.

Cold Front
Cold air moves in the direction the triangles are pointing (aka icicles).
Cold air is dense, it sinks and so pushes the warm air up.

Warm Front
Warm air moves in the direction of the half circles (aka little suns).
Warm air overtakes cold air and rises over the cold air because it is less dense.
